A co-founder is not a CTO

A co-founder is not a CTO.

Let that sink in.

Stop pretending voting equals knowing.

The fastest way to fail is to hand technical voting power to someone who can't read a codebase or architect a system.

You're not building a democracy.

Early-stage is war zone. Speed and technical guts win. Not consensus committees.

Ditch the tie-breaker. Get someone who catches $500K mistakes before they cost you.

We all know the temptation: Keep things fair. Give everyone a say. Avoid drama.

But fair is not always right.

Diluting tech decisions because "everyone's a founder" is how you bury yourself in tech debt and endless meetings.

If you're a non-technical founder and you want a vote on tech. You're slowing things down.

Ask yourself: Are you creating senseless friction? Are you empowering tech leaders? Or undermining them with status games?

Founder ego gets in the way of execution.

Let experts lead. Keep your lane.

Remove voting on tech from anyone who hasn't built. Shipped. And supported the whole deal.

Let technical accountability drive technical authority.

Speed up your roadmap. Increase build quality. Keep investors confident. Build something strong enough to scale.

Cut the politics.

P.S.

Only one fractional CTO slot left. Book a free call ($148 value) to claim it before it's gone. (Link in the comments.)
