Early September, I was completely demoralized

Early September, I was completely demoralized.

Dead market. Zero offers.

September 15, I stopped asking for permission.

I launched my Fractional CTO offer.

Not because I had it figured out. Because I had 16 years of preventing $5M rebuild mistakes. And founders were still making them.

I'd seen it across 7 M&A and exits. Watched seed founders burn $150K a month on tech debt. Saw teams put 300 days before shipping a v1.

Today?

Leads flowing in. Revenue reinvested into my first hire. I'm delegating the work that drains me.

I'm building the team I couldn't get hired into.

Here's what nobody tells you:

The market isn't dead. Your position in it is.

You're applying to roles that don't exist. You're waiting for companies that don't deserve you. You're hoping someone will see your value.

They won't.

You have to build the seat at the table:

  1. Define your micro-niche
  2. Name the $100K+ problem you prevent
  3. Charge what you're worth
  4. Reach the 10 people who need you most
  5. Act 20% ready. Hammer that nail until you figure it out

Not because you're special. Because the alternative is spending another 90 days refreshing LinkedIn.

I wasted 170 days waiting. You don't have to.

The thing that should have hired you won't exist until you create it.

P.S. Burning cash on the wrong tech stack? DM me. I'll show you the $100K mistake you're about to make. Free 30-min strategy call.
