Fatigue is a performance tool

Fatigue is a performance tool.

But only when you use it out loud.

Everyone worships energy. Every meeting starts with high energy only. Every Slack thread: "We're pumped, we're pushing."

The cult of relentless optimism.

Yet here's what you don't want to admit: Wednesday comes. You're wiped.

The team is silent. Pretending they aren't.

Everyone's performance tanks, but you don't see it. Founders burn out alone. So does the company.

You self-sabotage when you pretend you're not tired:

→ Fake resilience spreads down the hierarchy → You teach your team to hide → They stack stress → They internalize collapse

Name it. "I'm tired." Three words. Every time you admit it. You open a pressure valve. You signal: It's possible to build, lead, and also be human.

Name fatigue openly? You build radical trust.

Honest teams move smarter, cut noise, recover faster. Show up authentic. Set the bar for psychological safety. You'll attract, keep, and scale the talent you need.

Dare your team to be tired with you.
