I run a US$400K operation on Apple Notes.

I follow one rule:

Constantly and ruthlessly simplify how to do business. Subtract first. Add only what screams for existence.

You don't need much.

The more you add, the more complexity. The more friction. The slower you move. The more context switches. The higher your costs.

My stack:

Defaulted to Apple-native tools since 2008. Ecosystem integration, billing consolidation, as vanilla as possible.

Default to Apple unless:

No available solution from Apple. Require external collaboration for work. It's about AI (until maybe the overhaul of Apple Intelligence in 2026).

So:

Apple Notes, Reminders, Calendar, Passwords, etc. Google Docs/Sheets for external (looking to move to Craft this year). Perplexity + Cursor + Cursor CLI.

Yes. These tools limit me. But opinionated constraints force speed. I built my personal OS against those constraints. The more constrained you are, the less time you waste figuring things out.

I'm fast because they all share the same conceptual integrity. Low friction. Closely integrated.

That's it.

I can't see where simplicity is never the answer.
