Most founders prove they can't make hard calls

Most founders prove they can't make hard calls.

I just got off a strategy call with a founder. 52 features planned for 2026.

Let me tell you:

You spend $10K on a mountain offsite. Build Gantt charts for 12 months. A 50-page strategy deck nobody reads.

And your devs can't execute a single page of it.

You don't know what works. So you predict the future to fill the gap.

Early-stage startups don't need 12-month roadmaps.

8 weeks. That's your window.

→ Pick 3 small bets. Ship them in 2 weeks each. → Or 1 big bet for 6 weeks. → Spend the last 2 weeks deciding what dies.

Anything beyond 8 weeks? Fiction.

Shorten your cycle.
