Build vs. Buy is the wrong question

Build vs. Buy is the wrong question.

Ask this instead:

Every founder asks: Should we build or buy? Better question: Should we care?

Auth? Buy. (Clerk, Supabase) Payments? Buy. (Stripe) Email? Buy. (Resend) Analytics? Buy. (PostHog)

Founders love to argue about vendor lock-in. Saving money at scale.

Newsflash: You don't have scale. You don't have money. You have zero users and a burn rate.

Founders waste months building features that:

→ Already exist → Are not differentiating
→ Will never be better than existing solutions → Distract from actual product

Your competitive advantage is NOT your auth system. It is your unique value proposition.

Build that. Buy everything else.

P.S.
