I really need to stop pushing when the fit is not here

I really need to stop pushing when the fit is not here.

I had a call with a recruiter this week. It started strong.

Then they shared a new detail about the role. And in my head I thought, "Sh*t... I don't want that."

Right after, they asked if I was fine with it. I said yes. No issue.

But my energy dropped instantly. The excitement vanished.

Here's the trap: Sure, bills need to be paid. But saying yes to what drains me makes me miss the opportunities that actually light me up.

Worse, I end up projecting the wrong energy. And that wrong energy makes it impossible to land the role anyway. I can't fake it.

The lesson: Stress tricks you into lowering your standards. Every fake yes costs you the real one.
