Investors don't want certainty

Investors don't want certainty.

They look for honesty.

Admit that you don't know. Test openly.

I know. Investor day. You panic. You make your deck pretty. Perfect your pitch. Memorize all. Everyone tells you to always look certain. Always explain. Never be vulnerable.

Mistake.

You fear that "I don't know" disqualifies you. Then you go blank when you get real questions.

You talk in circles. Investors tune out. No credibility.

You must understand: Tech due diligence is about transparency and iteration.

Admit what you don't know. Show how you're testing and learning. Investors will stop trying to catch you out.

They will see a founder who understands how that works.

Walk in ready to expose the process. Build credibility by showing your risk management.

Show scars. Reveal adjustments. Keep it real.
